British School of Geneva

We are an all-through school that offers the English National Curriculum to our students from 3 to 18 years old.

Since we opened in 2005, we have enjoyed great success with our GCSEs and A level programmes.

Our students thrive because they feel known, safe and empowered to grow intellectually and emotionally.

With children from more than 70 countries, we are also proud of the diversity at our school.

As a member of ISP, we are dedicated to always getting better and learning every day.

We look forward to building a relationship with your family and joining your child on their educational journey.

Sophia Hatfield-Giraux

Principal

With a lifelong commitment to continuous learning, Sophia graduated from Nottingham Trent University with a BA (Hons) in Sociology in 2009, before going on to Buckinghamshire New University, where she obtained a Masters in HR Management. Her passion for social sciences led her to begin a teaching career as an A Level Sociology teacher in an outstanding girls’ grammar school in Buckinghamshire, England. She then moved to another outstanding school in Surrey, England, as a Head of Sociology and Pastoral Leader, a role in which she dedicated herself to fostering academic excellence, delivering outstanding academic attainment by striving for the highest of standards and taking pride in celebrating the achievements of all students.

Sophia joined BSG in 2025 as Head of Sixth Form, and dedicated her time to personalising guidance for each student’s future pathway, collaborating with the wider community to help each learner find their passion, and celebrating their achievements, big and small. Sophia was appointed Principal in August 2026, and as a firm believer that everyone has something exceptional in them has established her vision to consolidate the reputation of BSG as a school where Belonging Sparks Growth.

Beyond school, Sophia loves cooking with her husband, reading, travelling and exploring the great outdoors with her two young sons.
